About
Born 1986 in Medan (Indonesia), Aras Darmawan is a young motion designer/director currently based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. A sense of obliteration, sophisticated-formlessness, and inoperative imagery could be identified within the style of his works. As the adventurous playground of idea, visual, sound, space, and time excites him more than anything, he constantly expanding his skill set and trying to aim perfection while still maintains realistic orientation.
On the personal side, he loves doing experiments and creating his own projects to simply express his frame of mind. On the commercial side, he has worked as a team or on his own producing works for amazing clients such as MTV, Nike, Coca Cola, Bwin, G4TV, O’Neill, KPN, Chello/UPC, Lucas Bols, Sony, and Nickelodeon.
After almost one year doing internship at Onesize, in September 08 he received his B.A degree. At the same time, his graduation project Gaganeswara gets screened and featured in several festivals worldwide. In January 09, he joins PostPanic as a fulltime motion designer.
